Rusty Goes To The Opera
WNO announced Monday that Rusty's Island Chips of Balboa Island,
California would be underwriting a portion of the 2007-2008 season,
joining Movado and 4-Nando Pearlescent Creames, Ltd. in supporting opera
performances of the Washington National Opera.  This generous financial
support opportunity came about as the result of the participation of
enthusiastic celebrity supernumerary Stu "Rusty" Ross who appeared in
the opening performance of Verdi's Macbeth. According to a source that
declined to be identified, "although the Washington Opera has
traditionally sought the support of blue chip corporations, the Opera
welcomes the active financial support of the potato chip industry as
well, plus there is  plenty of room in this city for support from the
corn, tortilla and even Pringle chip segment, as well."

Ross, pictured above, with less than 1% total body fat,  is lean, living
proof of the health benefits of the product. "These chips have no
saturated fat, trans-fat or cholesterol, sugar or any other undisclosed
organic, inorganic, synthetic,  chemical,  human or animal by-products.
With a modest glass of milk, these chips will provide a healthy,
balanced diet."

Rusty's Chips, see www.RustysChips.com,  are entirely hand made of
"prime filets" of center cut premium potatoes ...sold in a resealable,
recyclable tropical gold bag and are considered one of the top four
potato chips in the United States by Newsweek Magazine. They have also
been featured in ChowHound Magazine and have been sent to our troops in
Iraq, Kuwait and Afghanistan. The Rusty website has many pictures of the
troops enjoying this fine American-made product. According to Ross, who
with celebrity super Frances Norris, seen below, somewhat apprehensively
with Victor "Ojos Cerrados" Yager, also appeared in the opening
performance of Macbeth,  support for the Opera will help to both expand
the chip market to a more intellectual crowd but also help take the
drama and pathos of grand opera to the potato-chip loving masses. "We
hope to prominently feature the product at the outdoor simulcast of
LaBoheme at the National Mall in September. What goes better with
LaBoheme than a big bag of Rusty's chips and an ice cold beer? We hope
to feature pictures of the opera patrons enjoying our fine products on
our website next fall."
